Abstract [sv]

Personligt ledarskap i företag och organisationer handlar om att varje medarbetares ökade trivsel och välmående leder till ökad produktion och effektivitet (Karp, 2013; Manz, 1986). Området har varit omdiskuterat och gått från att gälla företagets ledare till företagets samtliga medarbetare. Undersökningen i den befintliga studien är en effektmätning av en utbildning i personligt ledarskap på ett större företag i Sverige. Hypotesen som framställs är att det finns en skillnad i personligt ledarskap mellan de som genomfört utbildningen i jämförelse med de som inte genomfört utbildningen. Deltagarna var samtliga anställda i företaget och hade genomfört utbildningen eller var registrerade för att genomföra den. Datainsamling bedrevs genom webbaserad enkät baserad på självskattningsformuläret ASLQ som mätte deltagarnas personliga ledarskap. Ett oberoende t-test visade signifikant skillnad i uppmätt personligt ledarskap och slutsatsen drogs att utbildningen har en positiv effekt och utvecklar medarbetarnas personliga ledarskap. Studiens resultat stödjs av tidigare forskning som menar att den utbildning och träning inom personligt ledarskap leder till ett starkare sådant (Klagge, 1996).

Abstract [en]

Personal leadership in organizations leads to increased production and effectiveness through employee’s comfort and well-being (Karp, 2013; Manz, 1986). The subject has been discussed and went from concerning only the leaders of the organization to concern all employee. This study examines the effect of a training in personal leadership at a company in Sweden. The hypothesis set is that there is a difference in experienced personal leadership between those who completed the training in comparison to those who has not completed the training. All participants were employed at the company and had completed or was to conduct the training. The data collection was conducted through online surveys based on a self-assessment form ASLQ, which measured personal leadership with the participants. An independent t-test was conducted and showed a significant difference in personal leadership and the conclusion was made that the training has a positive effect and that the training develops the employees’ personal leadership. The result of the study goes hand in hand with earlier research which states trainings in personal development does have impact on experienced personal leadership (Klagge, 1996).
