Abstract [en]

In general, when working with the robot industry, there are many factors to consider. Therefore, the process from a non-existing product to an existing product involves many steps that can be time-to consume and error-prone. This thesis will examine the opportunities for automation in the industrial system and the problems that could occur. A little bit of the focus will also be put on Domain Specific Language (DSL) and the exchange of data between two DSLs.The automation of the industry is getting a big thing and there exist ways to integrate software automation within the industry. The research has been done by literature studies and experimenting with a software to exchange information between two DSL-applications. The result shows that there are some standard technologies that could be used in the integration of automation software, but also why automatization could create other problems. The result also shows that it’s possible to exchange information between two DSLs but it can be a little bit complicated.

Abstract [sv]

I allmänhet när man arbetar i robotindustrin finns det många faktorer att tänka på. Processen från en icke-befintlig produkt till en befintlig produkt innehåller många steg som kan vara tidskrävande och potentiellt felaktiga. Det här examensarbetet kommer att undersöka möjligheterna till automatisering inom industrin samt vilka problem som kan uppstå. En liten del av arbetet kommer också att läggas på Domain Specific Language (DSL) samt utbyte av data mellan två DSL-applikationer.Automatisering i branschen håller på att bli större och det finns intressanta sätt att integrera automationsprogram inom industrin. Forskningen har gjorts i form av litteraturstudier och experiment med en programvara för att utbyta information mellan två DSL-applikationer. Resultatet visar att det finns standardteknologier som kan användas vid integreringen av automatiseringsmjukvara, men också varför automatisering kan skapa andra problem. Resultatet visar också att det är möjligt att utbyta information mellan två DSL-applikationer.
