The cooperation between school librarians and teachers : A study of action plans (English)
Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study is to examine and compare the vision of cooperation between school librarians and teachers as it is expressed in action plans. The methods we have used in order to find results is text analysis and Loertscher’s taxonomy for school libraries. Then the action plans were broken down into segments and examined in order to find every goal that referenced the cooperation between school librarians and teachers. The references were then placed in Loertscher’s taxonomy in order to see how involved the school librarians are in the education of students, and what work they are performing at the schools according to their action plans. In the end we reached the conclusion that all school librarians were involved in the students education, but it varied from school to school which level of involvement they had.
