Abstract [en]

The meaning of music; does it dwell within the musical object or artefact, or does it maybe appear in the way that the music is used and received? Different institutions of society has - according to their needs to limit and to make standards of musical expressions - delimit the results of musical behaviour. Historically in the western society, the thought of music as autonomous within the growth of the modernity, developed into basic values of music and music education. The ceremonies of the western classical music within the bourgeois sphere can be described as secular, but like the church, affected by dualistic thinking. The musical environment of today is connected with multicultural-, high - technical development and the following plurality of music. If there are such things as musical meaning, does it lies within the musical product or outcome, or how we make musical interaction profitable and incorporated? How do we understand musical knowledge, derived from music as discipline to teach? Contemporary researchers of music teaching and learning makes emphasizes on the skill of musical communication. Our musical experience makes the foundation of an ever-growing understanding of the musical process.
