Forskning visar att effekterna av teknikrelaterad stress på arbetsplatser är ett understuderat ämne. Eftersom teknologin kommer att fortsätta utvecklas och vara en essentiell del av verksamheter är det därför viktigt att förstå konsekvenserna av det och vad som kan bidra till ökad technostress (Ragu-Nathan et al., 2008). Syftet med studien var att ta reda på specifika faktorer som bidrar till technostress på arbetsplatsen för att utifrån detta kunna identifiera strategier och åtgärder för att kunna hantera och förebygga problemet. För att belysa problemet har teori om technostress på arbetsplatsen insamlats för att få en bred grund till studien att koppla empirin till. Med en kombination av kvalitativ och kvantitativ ansats har en enkät delats ut och intervjuer har genomförts med anställda på två olika undersökningsenheter. Studien visar att människor upplever viss technostress på arbetsplatsen och att det är något som bör lyftas i organisationer. Detta eftersom technostress påverkar arbetets effektivitet och resultat i hög grad. Anställda bör bjudas in till att vara mer delaktiga i implementationer för att känna att de kan påverka förändringsprocessen. Därtill bör utbildningar anpassas efter användare för att anställda ska känna att de behärskar den teknik de använder i sitt dagliga arbete.

Studies shows that the effects of technology-related stress in workplaces are an under- researched topic. As the technology will continue to develop and be an essential part of organisations, it is therefore important to understand the consequences of it and what can contribute to increased technostress (Ragu-Nathan et al., 2008). The purpose of the study was to find out specific factors that contribute to technostress in the workplace in order to be able to identify strategies and measures to be able to handle and prevent the problem. To illustrate the problem, the theory of technostress in the workplace has been collected in order to get a broad basis for the study to link the empirical. With a combination of qualitative and quantitative approach, a questionnaire has been distributed and interviews have been conducted with employees on two different study units. The study shows that people experience some technostress in the workplace and that it is something that should be highlighted in organizations. This is because technostress affects the efficiency and results of the work. Employees should be invited to be more involved in implementations to feel that they can influence the change process. In addition, trainings should be adapted to users in order for employees to feel that they have mastered the technology they use in their daily work.
