There is a difference between “Western Europe” and “Eastern Europe”. There has been a great impact from the former Soviet Union, as well as the European Union on Eastern region countries. It has left strong footprints in the behavior of the people who are living in these countries. However, it has influenced not only behavior, but also the mentality, culture, the development of the economy. At last but not least, the management and leadership behavior in Eastern Europe.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the notion and the practice of art of the leadership are perceived and understood in Latvia and Poland - what are the main ideas, opinions, descriptions of leadership in Latvia and Poland, how the roles and functions of a leader are performed and what are the good and bad illustrations of leadership in these countries.

For this study, ten different people with different occupation (headhunters, consultants, researcher and leaders) have been interviewed in order to receive the broader scope of the research area and to identify different opinions between different occupations.
