Abstract [en]
An increasing number of photovoltaic (PV) power plants are used to produce electricity for society. Due to the characteristics such as wide distribution, remote location, and high maintenance cost of PV power plants, real-time monitoring and fault diagnosis of photovoltaic power plants of various sizes have become important tools for the renewable energy industry. Therefore, it is essential to design a fault diagnosis expert system suitable for photovoltaic power plants. This makes the PV system less dependent on actions involving persons and will help reduce maintenance costs.
This thesis describes an improved probabilistic fault tree analysis method, combined with IF-THEN inference rules and solar system expert experience. A class of expert system theory for photovoltaic monitoring and fault diagnosis is implemented. Finally, fault location technology is used to find hypothetical faults in the PV system.
