This research aims at taking Kuratko's Intrapreneurial Assessment Instrument as a foundational model to answer the question “What environment do entrepreneurs expect from businesses to turn to intrapreneurship ''. As Kuratko’s model was designed through a top-down approach; this research focuses on the entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs, their expectations and experience. Through a qualitative survey, two in-depth interviews, and action based research the conclusion is drawn that the model can be used as a framework, if one looks for guidelines on how to enhance intrapreneurship within the organisation. However, as those touch upon organisational structures and cultures, it is recommended to design a separate programme, to grant the intrapreneur an identity as such and a label to have the intrapreneurial activities supported and justified in the organisation - limiting potential barriers.
