Abstract [en]
Integrating renewable energies into the electricity grid is key to reaching the sustainability targets. In Germany, power plant certificates are required for larger electricity generation plants. The complexity of the certification process, the lack of personnel and the low level of digitalization could lead to potential delays in achieving the set expansion targets. This thesis analyzes automating the calculations and simulations required for type A plant certificates according to VDE-AR-N 4110. After reviewing the literature and analyzing the standard, an Excel tool prototype was developed and tested in a case study. This demonstrated significant improvements in the efficiency of the calculations. However, the automation of simulations remains a challenge. In future work, automation should be extended to simulations, other system types and voltage levels. Automation canaccelerate the process of renewable energy certification and promote sustainability goals but requires further research.
