Abstract [sv]

Denna rapport som utgörs av ett examensarbete för utbildningsprogrammet Maskinteknik med inriktning industriellt ledarskap är ett första steg i en utvecklingsprocess för svetsproduktion vid Volvo CE.

Syftet med rapporten är att ge Volvo CE övergripande förslag till en vidareutveckling av produktionsprocessen för svetsade komponenter samt att analysera dessa förslag. Dessa förslag har arbetats fram med hjälp av genomförd benchmarking och nulägesanalys som har jämförts med den teori som samlats in om ämnesområdet har ett resultat tagits fram. Resultatet visar på tre olika alternativ som skiljer sig i utföranden med dock inte i sina grundläggande antaganden. Gemensamt för dessa tre är att alla tar hänsyn till de faktorer som anses vara viktigt för produktionen i framtiden. Dessa faktorer uppfylls olika i de tre alternativen vilket diskuteras i diskussionen.

Abstract [en]

This report, which is representing a diplomawork of the education program Machine Technology with industrial leadership alignment, is a first step in a developing process for the welding process at Volvo CE.

The purpose of this diplomawork is giving Volvo CE comprehensive proposals at a development of the production process for welded components and to analyze these proposals. These proposals has been generated by the benchmarking which was carried out as well as the analyze of the present situation at Volvo CE, which together has been compared to all the collected theory from the subject area. From this a result has been worked out. The result shows three alternatives which is separated in their performance, but not in the basic assumptions. The common thing for these three alternatives is that all of them are taking care of the factors that seem to be important for the production in the future. These factors are fulfilled different in the three alternatives which are discussed in the discussion part.
