Följande examensarbete är gjort på värdföretaget Spaljisten AB i Åseda. Företaget tillverkar folierade planmöbler, med IKEA som största kund. Företaget har en idé om att i framtiden kunna styra sin produktion från sista led, packningslinjerna. Detta innebär att Spaljisten går från dagens push-baserade till ett mer pull-baserat produktionssystem.Den senare typen av produktionssystem kräver högre flexibilitet med kortare genomloppstider, kortare ställtider och mindre andel avbrott. Uppsatsen syftar till att kartlägga den förbättringspotential som finns inom dessa områden och ge förslag på åtgärder. Tidigt i uppsatsen beskrivs de studerade produktionslinjerna för att ge läsaren en uppfattning om vilka resurser företaget idag har. Teorin ligger sedan till grund för vidare studier av genomloppstiderna av två utvalda produktgrupper, kartläggning av ställtider och avbrottstider samt en flaskhalsanalys på berörda produktionslinjer. Studierna har visat att det finns en stor förbättringspotential inom samtliga områden. För att erhålla en mer flexibel produktion måste omställningarna struktureras bättre och avbrottstiden förkortas genom bättre förebyggande service. Genomloppstiderna kan sedan förkortas med hjälp av föregående åtgärder och genom en bättre framförhållning i produktionsplaneringen.

Following diploma work is performed at the host company Spaljisten AB in Åseda. The company manufactures foiled plane furniture, with IKEA as the larest customer. The company has an idea that in the future guide their production from the final line, the packlines. This means that Spaljistengoes from today's push-based ta a pull-based production system. The later kind of production system demands higher flexibility with shorter throughput time, shorter adjustment time and less share of downtime. The purpose of this essay is to make a survey of the improvement potential within these areas and present suggestions of improvements. Early in the essay are the productions lines describes in order to give the reader an understanding of the company's resources. The theory form the basis of further studies of the throughput time fro the two chosen product groups, make an survey of adjustment time and downtime and also a bottleneck analysis of the mentioned production lines. The studies have shown a big improvement potential within all areas. To achieve a more flexible production the adjustments must be better structured ant the downtime must be shorted through better service. The throughput time can then be shorted by means of previous measure and trough better long-term planning.
