Styrning av ackumuleringszoner i produktion (Swedish)
Abstract [sv]

Det här examensarbete handlar om bestämning av buffertstorlekar i produktionen. För att kunna förutse ökning av buffertytan i och med den kommande expansionen, vill fallföretaget ta reda på hur stora ackumuleringszoner mellan maskiner ska vara för att kunna möta den ökade efterfrågan på produkterna. En modell togs fram som applicerades på fallföretaget med hjälp av simuleringsprogrammet Wittness. Ett antal olika simuleringar genomfördes på årbasis för olika investeringsår. Resultaten som har framkommit har varit väldigt verklihgetsnära beroende på de noggrant utvalda och beräknade parametrar som ingick i modellen.

Abstract [en]

This research concentrates on determing the size of the buffers of work in the production line. The main issue that case company faces is to predict how future investments will affect the size of the buffers between different operations in the production line. The modell för determination of buffers of load was devoloped with help of simulation programm Witness and applied on the case company. Several different simulation was performed on yearly basis including all years of investment. The results have shown to be quite reliable based on carefully chosen and calculated paramters and inputs which generated the build modell.
