At Linköping University different courses of study are taught from different pedagogical perspectives. Diverse methods of teaching pose diverse demands upon the information literacy of students. Students’ informationseeking is often governed by teachers’ attitudes to information seeking and library use. The library gives courses in information seeking. Most of the courses are scheduled but do not result in academic credits. Our experience is that the students who would need to develop their knowledge of information literacy often do not give priority to these courses due to a tight schedule. This project shows the need of enhanced cooperation between teachers and librarians in order to develop students’ information literacy and communication skillswith pedagogical questions. The authors are librarians at the Linköping University library and are working with information literacy issues and student education.
