The following Master thesis represents our research on Female Leadership during these last months. Even though throughout the thesis our aim is to speak of women’s situation and problems they face today, we are aware of the fact that we just speak from ourselves, from our ideas and from our heart. We do not want to feed the feminist thought, although we do great use of it, and state new trends of segregation between men and women. We just try to synthesize all our experiences, knowledge and opinions about the topic of discussion.

Therefore, the main issue to answer is “Which factors affect the career of women?” regarding the barriers women encounter when trying to be in top positions. In so doing, we use a great variety of bibliography, covering different aspects, from history, literature, cultural and social studies and general knowledge to specific studies, facts and statistics.

Male Discourse, stereotypes, prejudices, equality/inequality are concepts that form a huge part of our thesis, which leads to the appearance of paradoxes and dilemmas, plunging women into confusion on how they should behave.
