The purpose of this rapport is to study the terms of strategy within vision, company idea, and goal. To critically survey the work of sport fraternities with these terms; to suggest development possibilities with the chosen terms.
The following questions have been the foundation to be able to reach the purpose:
• What theories are active with the terms vision, company idea and goal?
• How do the sport fraternities work with these terms?
o How are the terms formed?
o How are these terms being implemented?
o How do you get the terms to pervade thru the company?
• What are the differences/similarities between the literature and the work of the sport fraternities with the terms vision, company idea and goal?
• How can the sport fraternities develop these terms and get them to work in their company?
The rapport is written within the frame of Coaching and Sport Management at Växjö university, and is aimed for sport fraternities that are pursuing to either find a tool to get the company towards a common goal, or to create an interesting argument among the chosen terms within the strategy. Furthermore, we feel that the rapport in first hand will focus on the boards and committees of fraternities, and in second hand also the individual member.
The study begins with a problem formula, where we present our hypostasis of sport fraternities who does not work actively enough with the strategy terms. It ends with what methods will work, which is the basis for the rapport. Relevant literature and theories are presented in relationship to sport fraternities in the next chapter.
The result shows us that sport fraternities use the terms randomness, inactive, on different levels, and without profiling. Since we got these results, we feel that sport fraternities need to develop these strategies to be able to meet the future demands on a sport fraternity. In the final discussion we give suggestions on development possibilities for these terms, for sport fraternities to use.
