Abstract [en]
This study aims to explore what has happened to women's political and civil rights in Afghanistan after the Taliban took power in the country from August 15, 2021, until today. The method section addresses, method and research design, validity, and reliability as well as material and source criticism, such as the importance of being source critical to the collection material when there are secondary sources. The choice of this method is to show that it is most appropriate and relevant based on the purpose and time frame of the study. The empirical review of women's political and civil rights is linked to Afghanistan, as well as the theoretical part, to show its relevance to the field of study clearly. The theoretical part highlights John Rawls' theory of human rights and the theory of equality feminism. The conclusion has been drawn that women's political and civil rights do not exist under Taliban rule. This conclusion has been based on and linked to women's rights that have been addressed in previous research and the theory part and further applied in Afghanistan to the results part.
