Abstract [en]
Statistics show that women are in less numbers in jobcentre programs towards disabled people. The study investigates how employment officers at the Swedish jobcentre categorize unemployed disabled customers, with the aspect gender. The result of the study is that handling officer’s don´t sees it as they categorize customers. But still they categorize women and men when they talk about the labor market and when they talk about men and women’s physical capacity. Some handling officers say that the explanation why women are in less numbers in jobcentre programs is that the categorizing is done by social insurance agency and also by the segregated labor market. The study is based on the perspective intersectionality. The study has been performed from a qualitative method in form of semi-structural interviews.
