Syftet med denna kvantitativa studie var att undersöka om personlighetsdrag enligt Big Five-modellenoch copingstrategier kan predicera graden av beteendemässig anpassning till att arbeta i aktivitetsbaserad arbetsmiljö bland anställda inom Region Kronoberg. Totalt 82 deltagare besvarade en elektroniskenkät som inkluderade Mini-IPIP för personlighet, Brief COPE för copingstrategier och Activity-Based Working Behaviors Scale för beteendemässig anpassning till aktivitetsbaserad arbetsmiljö. Multipel regressionsanalys genomfördes där personlighetsdragen extraversion, vänlighet, samvetsgrannhet,neuroticism och öppenhet för erfarenheter samt copingstrategier inkluderades som prediktorer. Resultaten visade att personlighetsdragen samvetsgrannhet och vänlighet var signifikanta prediktorer för beteendemässig anpassning till aktivitetsbaserad arbetsmiljö, medan extraversion, neuroticism, öppenhetför erfarenheter och copingstrategier inte visade några signifikanta samband. Personlighetsdragen förklarade 23,6 % av variansen i beteendemässig anpassning. Det fanns ingen signifikant korrelationmellan graden av beteendemässig anpassning till ABW miljö och någon av de tre typerna avcopingstrategier. Den kombinerade modellen med både personlighetsdrag och copingstrategier förklarade 25,7 % av variansen. Resultaten tyder på att personlighetsdrag, särskilt samvetsgrannhet ochvänlighet, är viktiga för hur medarbetare anpassar sina arbetsrelaterade beteenden till aktivitetsbaserade arbetsmiljöer. Studien understryker behovet av att beakta individuella faktorer vid implementering av aktivitetsbaserade arbetssätt i offentlig sektor

Abstract [en]

The aim of this quantitative study was to examine whether personality traits according to theBig Five model and coping strategies can predict the degree of behavioral adaptation to activity-based working environments among employees within Region Kronoberg. A total of 82participants completed an electronic survey including the Mini-IPIP for personality, BriefCOPE for coping strategies, and the Activity-Based Working Behaviors Scale for behavioraladaptation to activity-based working environments. Multiple regression analyses were conducted in which the personality traits extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience, as well as coping strategies, were included as predictors.The results showed that the personality traits conscientiousness and agreeableness were significant predictors of behavioral adaptation to activity-based working environments, whereasextraversion, neuroticism, openness to experience, and coping strategies showed no significant associations. Personality traits explained 23.6% of the variance in behavioral adaptation.There was no significant correlation between the degree of behavioral adaptation to the ABWenvironment and any of the three types of coping strategies. The combined model includingboth personality traits and coping strategies explained 25.7% of the variance.The findings suggest that personality traits, particularly conscientiousness and agreeableness,are important for how employees adapt their work-related behaviors to activity-based workingenvironments. The study highlights the importance of considering individual factors when implementing activity-based working practices in the public sector.
