Abstract [en]
This study explores how unaccompanied young adult men establish themselves in the Swedish labour market. Based on eight qualitative interviews, it examines how social capital, biographical experiences, and structural conditions shape their integration process. The findings show that strong motivation, early responsibility, and ethnic networks are key resources, while policy requirements and labour market demand influence occupational choices. Although integration often occurs in low-skilled sectors, it is viewed as a strategic pathway toward long-term inclusion and career development.
