Comparison of high-pressure water mist, residential and conventional sprinkler systems (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

High rise buildings lead to higher demands on the fire safety. Installation of a sprinkler system can help to achieve these requirements. The purpose of this study is to compare a system with traditional sprinkler, residential sprinkler and high-pressure water mist sprinkler in a case study. The goal is to show what different qualities the systems possess and which physical impact they bring to the building. This study shows that the high-pressure water mist performs on a higher level compared to the other sprinkler systems, even though it, today, is the least utilized system for buildings.
