SeaSportal - A tool for better health onboard (English)
Abstract [sv]

Syftet med den här studien är att med utgångspunkt av en enkätundersökning 

analysera ifall sjöfolk som loggar sin träning i Sjöfartsverkets träningsverktyg SeaSportal tränar mer än andra sjöfolk. Vidare är syftet att undersöka ifall det finns skillnader i träningsmängden inom de olika befattningarna ombord, inom olika fartområden, samt ombord olika fartygstyper. 

Data till studien har samlats in genom en webbaserad enkät som besvarats av en experimentgrupp bestående av slumpvis utvalda SeaSportal-användare, samt av en kontrollgrupp bestående av slumpmässigt utvalda aktivt arbetande sjöfolk. 

Studien visade att sjöfolket som tränar och loggar sin träning i SeaSportal tränar mer än dem som inte loggar sin träning. Vidare är träningsmängden bland sjöfolk relativt jämn inom olika fartområden. Slutligen visade studien att yrkesgruppen befäl ombord tränar mer än yrkesgruppen manskap. 

Abstract [en]

Based on a survey, this study aims to analyze whether seafarers who log their training with the Swedish Maritime Administration's training tool SeaSportal train more than other seafarers. Furthermore, the purpose is to investigate whether there are differences in the amount of training within the different positions onboard, within different trade areas, and onboard different types of ships. 

Data for the study was collected through a web-based questionnaire answered by an experimental group consisting of randomly selected SeaSportal users and a control group consisting of randomly selected active seafarers. 

The study showed that sailors who train and log their training in SeaSportal train more than those who do not log their training. Furthermore, the amount of training among seafarers is relatively equal in the different trade areas. Finally, the study showed that the officers onboard exercise more than the lower-ranked crew
