Abstract [en]

This project investigates the possibility of stimulating Gen Z and Millennial social media users to critically reflect on their ways of engaging with activism on the social media platform. The project aims to do this by offering them three aspects explained through visuals: relating to typical individual social media user behavior, seeing the bigger picture of all these individual behaviors combined into collective behavior trends and understanding the disconnect between individual goodwill and intentions for change and collective results towards change. This project aims to discover how illustrations in combination with question prompts can stimulate the receiver to open up the conversation - with themselves or others - on digital activism.
