This essay is a result of an investigation about bilingualism and ethnic identity. The object of the investigation has been the Spanish speaking minority (a group of individuals with Spanish or Spanish-American origin) resident in Sweden. The purpose has been to answer some questions related to this theme by means of calculations, present the answers by means of diagrams and charts and to compare and interpret the results obtained with some help from previous studies. The answers consists of everything from an explanation of what ethnic identity is, to what language the minority group prefers to use and what variables affects the ethnic identity.
